Landscape Photography at the Cypress tree tunnel
The cypress tree tunnel is located 77km north-west of San Francisco in the Point Reyes national seashore park. You will easily find the tree tunnel if your starting point is the town of Olema. From here just find the Bear Valley road which turns into Sir Francis Drakes Blvd. and follow that for 19km. When you reach the tree tunnel there is a parking lot down in the bottom of the tunnel.

The Cypress tree tunnel is an obvious sunrise location because of the angle by which the beams shine through the trees. The tunnel is in itself a beautiful location, but if you can combine fog and sunrise to the scene, the sunbeams look spectacular.
Dependent on the time of year you will have to decide from which direction you will photograph the tunnel. There will be many distracting specular highlights on the trees if the sun is behind you.
